Robust support for repositories
Amanuens connects directly to your source code repository and searches for resource files. We currently support Subversion, Git, Mercurial and Team Foundation Server. You can also isolate your repository to get improved data privacy.
Stand-alone File Repository
If you don't want to connect Amanuens to your source code repository, you can simply use the Stand-alone File Repository that allows you to upload and download resource files manually.
Easy management of translators
You can create as many users as you like. Each can either be an administrator or a translator, and each translator has her own permissions set as well as assigned languages.
Quick and easy job assignment
You can easily assign translation jobs to multiple translators with just a few clicks. They'll even get an email notification so they can start working immediately.
Automatic synchronization and commit
Amanuens can be configured to automatically synchronize with the repository as well as to push translations back into your source code. The system detects changed items and notifies translators via email for maximum efficiency.
Simple resource file generation
Generating resource files for a new language requires just a couple of clicks. Amanuens will use resource files of a given language as a template and generate new files for an arbitrary language, handling file naming conventions of your development platform automatically (.NET, Java, WiX, WindowsPhone 7, Android, iPhone, MacOS, Po/GetText are fully supported).
Translators just focus on their job.
Powerful editing functionalities
The editor lets you focus on your job without interruptions and without the need for any special application or operating system. Just fire up your browser and you're ready to go.
Quick search tools
Searching for a piece of text is very easy and results can be either global or limited to the current open file.
Save time with Shared Translation Memory
Translation Memory allows you to re-use an existing translation so the result is more consistent, plus you save time. Translation Memory is shared with your colleagues further increasing overall consistency and efficiency.
